Dan Topf

Dan Topf is a successful performance improvement consultant who is passionate about helping people and businesses achieve dramatic performance improvement through learning. As a senior consultant with a Fortune 500 financial services company, Dan designed, led, and implemented multiple learning and development initiatives aligned with strategic goals. His imaginative and professional presentations produced outstanding results, as documented by attendees’ performance. Dan can help your company develop systems thinking, implement human performance technology, and design learning systems to achieve outstanding results.

Dan began his career as a University instructor. Students in his competitive speaking classes were regularly recognized at the national level for their excellence. He later joined the faculty at Iowa State University, where he was named co-director of Forensics. His Iowa State students enjoyed unprecedented success.

As senior consultant with the Principal Financial Group, Dan led and implemented multiple large and small-scale training design projects for the corporation and for each of the company’s business units. Known for his outstanding learning design and facilitation skills, Dan served as the lead presenter of the company’s business simulations and business literacy efforts.

Dan is the President of the Golden Circle Chapter of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI). He’s presented pre-conference workshops at the ISPI International Performance Improvement Conference and Expo, and is currently on the review committee for The Business of HPT for the 2001 conference.

Dan is also a member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
