Margaret L. Skaggs
Margaret Skaggs is a management and organization development professional with extensive experience as an internal and external consultant and as a senior human resources manager. Her clients include AT&T, Deloitte & Touche, KPMG Peat Marwick, MTV Networks, The Prudential Insurance Company, Paine Webber, Selective Insurance Group and Executive Risk, Inc.
Prior to joining QED, Margaret was Director of Education and Organization Development at Prudential Reinsurance Company where she created and built the Training and Organization Development departments.
Margaret focuses on helping organizations enhance their productivity and bottom line performance through attention to the human side of business. Her areas of expertise include performance management systems, strengthening management practices in global environments, management/executive development and coaching, competency-based employee development, diversity initiatives, strategic human resource planning, succession planning and change management. Margaret particularly enjoys partnering with management to create human resource systems and practices that are in tune with the organization’s strategic direction. She is also adept at working with teams and coaching individual managers.
Margaret holds an MBA from Columbia University, a BA from Carleton College and several insurance industry designations. She is an active member of the New York Human Resource Planners, the Management Development Forum, the Metropolitan New York Association for Applied Psychologists (METRO) and the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD).
