William D. Shea
William (Bill) Shea is the Director, Executive Programs, at Northeastern University’s Graduate School of Business Administration. Before that, Bill held positions as the Senior Strategic Relationship Manager for Harvard Business Publishing (HBP);.Global Accounts Manager at HBP and Director, Executive Education Relations, for Harvard University’s Graduate School of Business Administration. Prior to joining Harvard, Bill worked at the Harbridge House division of Coopers & Lybrand LLP as a senior consultant responsible for the development, marketing and presentation of leadership and executive development programs. Bill also spent over seven years with the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), where he established and served as Managing Director of CCL’s first European branch office in Brussels, Belgium. Bill continues to serve as a coaching/feedback consultant for the CCL Leadership Development Programs offered at the Niagara Institute in Canada, where he consults with both English and French-speaking executives.
Earlier in his career, Bill had appointments in university admissions and financial aid both at the Harvard Business School and at the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University. Bill holds a BA degree from Hunter College (City University of New York); an MA degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School. He is a long-standing member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and has served on ASTD’s national board of directors. He has served as a member of the board of directors of the Hunter College Alumni Association and was inducted into the Hunter College Alumni Hall of Fame in 1998. He has also served on the board of directors of “Play for Peace,” an international not-for-profit organization which brings together children from communities in conflict to promote understanding through experiential exercises and play. |
