Dr. Sandra Buckley
Dr. Buckley has been a management consultant for over twenty years. She has worked extensively in Europe, North America, S.E. & East Asia and Australia. Her client list extends across the private sector, government and NGO sectors Dr. Buckley has lived in Canada, United States, Japan and Australia, speaks Japanese fluently and has a working knowledge of French and written Chinese. She is uniquely experienced in the management of cross-cultural negotiations, team building and the training of international negotiators. She has also developed a strong range of services in the specialized area of preparation and support programs for international relocation. Most recently Dr Buckley has experienced a growing call on her time consulting on major commercial negotiations in North America, Australia and Asia with demand for her services in the areas of Global Strategic Alliances and Partnering, and Corporate Strategy Development with senior executive focus teams. She has also worked with clients to develop tailored projects to lead managers and employees into the challenging terrain at the interface of brick and mortar corporations and the space of the Internet. She offers a range of services to clients wanting to achieve a smooth integration of the strengths of traditional corporate structures and practices and the potential of new communication and information technologies. In addition to her consulting career Dr Buckley has maintained her status as a senior scholar in the field of Asian Cultural Studies. She has served as the Chair of East Asian Studies at McGill University(Canada), Chair of Japanese Studies at Griffith University (Australia) and Director of Centre for Arts and Humanities State University of New York (Albany, N.Y.). She has also been invited to teach sections of the MBA in the Business Schools of McGill University, Australian National University, Columbia University International Executive Program, Bond University, University of Auckland, University of Science and Technology Hong Kong. Dr Buckley has consulted into the Management Centre Europe, American Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong, American Management Association Tokyo, and Australian Institute of Management.
