Globalization and Diversity: World Diversity Leadership Symposium
Alan Richter was a panelist at the Globalization and Diversity: World Diversity Leadership Symposium held at the United Nations. The World Diversity Leadership Summit is, by far, the premier gathering of diversity executives and thought leaders. The combination of global networking, idea exchange and innovation offers participants a truly unique experience.
The National Talking Gender Conference
At the 2006 National Talking Gender Conference Alan Richter presented "Training Tools and Exercises for Sexual Orientation Content" for Diversity Training Designs. The National Conference provided a forum in which the “best practices” strategies and “cutting-edge” human resource tools with Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender employees was presented.
Global Diversity Survey® workshop at the Diversity Leadership Forum
Alan Richter presented a workshop on the Global Diversity Survey® at the Diversity Leadership Forum's 5th Annual Practitioners Conference in Miami. As part of the 5th Annual Practitioners Conference, each registered participant was eligible to take the Global Diversity Survey® (GDS) online prior to the conference. www.diversityleadershipforum.org
SIETAR USA Annual Conference: Alan Richter gave two presentations during the second day of the SIETAR USA conference. In the forum, Dr. Richter teamed up with Kelli McLoud-Schingen to talk about the Diversity of Diversity. Afterward, participants enjoyed learning about using the Global Diversity Survey® from the perspective of global leadership.
Global Diversity Survey® session at SIIC
At the Summer Institute for Intercultural Communication participants completed the Global Diversity Survey® (GDS) and obtained individual feedback as well as strategic pointers on how to improve effectiveness in dealing with difference. Participants learned how the survey can be incorporated into broader global diversity initiatives including training and organizational development.

Raising the Bar on Diversity: The Conference Board, 2004 Annual Diversity Conference
The Annual Diversity Conference was in two locations; New York in April and Chicago in June. At the New York conference Dr. Richter participated in a panel discussion on Creating Innovation and Better problem Solving through diversity. QED Consulting team member, Robert Hayles, participated in the same session presented on Thursday June 7th at the Chicago conference. What’s Your Global Diversity Quotient? At the annual SIETAR USA conference, Dr, Richter presented the new Global Diversity Survey® to interculturalists. The theme for the conference was, "Seeking Middle Ground - Locally and Globally" and took place in Austin, Texas.
Netherlands, Veerstichting Symposium - Misconnection?
Dr, Richter presented the Global Diversity Game using an audience response system at a symposium on Misconnection. The general idea behind this theme was to have a series of inspiring and thought provoking presentations and discussions surrounding the question: what measures should be taken in order to create the ideal atmosphere for co-operation and understanding amongst people of different backgrounds, identities, and realities?
Managing Corporate Governance in Asia MCGA Annual Conference
Alan Richter was a plenary speaker at the 2003 MCGA Conference, hosted in Makati, Philippines. The conference discussed the emerging structure of global corporate governance standards and how these are applied in local settings.
The Diversity Leadership Forum
On November 18th, Alan was a panelist with representatives from JPMorganChase, Sodexho, and the City University of New York. Intercultural Management Skills Institutes: The Global Leadership Institute November 3, 2002 This institute explored the characteristics and skills of global leaders, and taught various methods to measure individual effectiveness.
